Our Commitment
Kasvi Beauty defines sustainability in two dimensions — environmental and socioeconomic — and holds them together in every decision. Small-batch production, responsible Nordic botanical sourcing, honest packaging communication, and a refusal to use fear or urgency to sell are the practical expressions of one question: is this good for everyone it touches?
We ask one question before every decision.
Is this good for everyone it touches?
The land it comes from. The people who make it. The woman who uses it. The generations who inherit it.
That question is not a marketing line. It is the test we apply to real choices — sourcing, formulation, packaging, pricing, and how we communicate with you. Every claim on this page reflects an actual decision. Nothing here is aspirational positioning.
Sustainability is two things. Always together.
We define sustainability in two dimensions — environmental and socioeconomic — and we hold them together. Always.
A brand that performs environmental ethics while ignoring fair sourcing and honest pricing is not a sustainable brand. It is a selective one. A brand that celebrates community while using fear, urgency, and artificial scarcity to sell is not an honest brand. It is a performing one.
For Kasvi Beauty, sustainability means both things at once, in practice:
Environmentally — the land, the plants, the supply chain, the packaging. Responsible sourcing. Small batch to eliminate waste. A Finnish relationship with nature — you take from it carefully, gratefully, and only what you need, because you understand, at a cellular level, that you are responsible to it.
Socioeconomically — fair sourcing. Honest pricing. No coupons, no flash sales, no manufactured urgency. We price what things actually cost to make with integrity, and we hold that price because it is honest. Growing at a pace that allows every decision to remain a good one.
Small batch is not a trend. It is the answer.
We make in small batches because nothing should be rushed. Small batch means nothing is wasted. Nothing sits on a shelf before it reaches you. Every formulation is fresh, made with full attention, and never compromised by volume.
Small batch is also our answer to a question the beauty industry rarely asks: what is the true cost of scale? The waste. The compromise. The distance it creates between the person making something and the person using it.
We choose to stay close to both.
Sourcing with intention
Our four core botanicals — Birch, Yarrow, Nettle, and Plantain — are sourced from Nordic suppliers who share our relationship with the land. Careful. Grateful. Taking only what is needed.
We are specific about provenance because provenance matters. Where an ingredient comes from, how it is harvested, who tends it — these are not abstract concerns. They shape the quality of what ends up on your skin and the health of the ecosystem it came from.
How we sell — and how we don't
We do not use fear to sell. We do not tell you that your skin is failing, that time is running out, or that you need to act now before the price goes up. We do not manufacture urgency. We do not offer discount codes that make the original price a fiction.
We price honestly. We communicate honestly. We trust that the woman who finds Kasvi Beauty is capable of deciding for herself whether it is right for her — without being pushed.
That trust is not a strategy. It is a minimum standard.
Packaging — the honest version
Packaging is one of the hardest problems in indie beauty. Most small-batch brands make compromises they don't talk about. We are talking about ours — and about what we got right.
Our airless pump dispensers are PP monomaterial — a single polymer, fully recyclable through standard streams, with no mixed materials to separate before recycling. It took time to find suppliers who could deliver it at small-batch quantities without compromising the dispensing system that protect formula integrity and eliminate preservative overload.
The Nordic Renewal Elixir is housed in glass — the right material for a facial oil and one that is infinitely recyclable.
This is the first step. We know that. We are actively evaluating refill options and will introduce them when we can do so without compromising the formulation or the dispensing integrity. We will tell you when that changes and what the next step is.
We will not claim perfection we have not achieved. We will tell you what we are working toward, what constraints we are navigating, and what decisions we have made and why.
That honesty is part of the commitment.
This is not greenwashing.
We don't use that word lightly and we won't perform it for you.
Every principle named here is a test we apply to real choices. Not a values statement written for a website. A question we actually ask.
Is this good for everyone it touches?
